Introduction

Welcome to Europarty! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. By using the app, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Collection

We collect the following information:

• Personal Data: Name, email address (if shared), associated country (locale-based, network-based or by choice), and password.
• Usage Data: Scoreboard rankings, custom scoreboards created by users (including titles, themes, and song selections), favourite songs, Europarty League sessions, and related interactions within the app.

Users may also choose to register or sign in using third-party authentication providers, such as Apple or Google. In such cases we receive and process authentication information provided by those services, which may include:

• A secure authentication token
• Your email address
• Your display name

Use of Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the app.
• Improve user experience.
• Authenticate users via third-party login providers such as Apple and Google.
• Support social interactions within the app (e.g. sharing rankings with fellow members of parties you join or create).
• Enable participation in community features such as the Europarty League and the Global Vote.
• Provide other features based on user-generated data, such as - but not limited to - personal statistics, Europarty Encore, Eurochart, and custom scoreboards.
• Share aggregated and anonymised statistics (such as global results or usage trends) for communication and promotional purposes, including on social media and our YouTube channel. No identifiable personal data is included in such materials.

Data Sharing

• With App Users:

  • Your name (first name and initials) and associated country may be visible in parties you join or create, the Europarty League, and other similar features.
  • Outside of parties, you will always be given the choice to make your name public or keep it anonymous.
  • You may also choose to hide your country in parties, the Europarty League, and other features where it might be displayed. Even if hidden, your rankings will still count towards your country's vote in the Global Vote.
  • The top songs of your saved rankings may be partially visible within a party you are a member of.
  • In the Global Vote, your ranking is aggregated with those of other users from the same country and presented under the country name and flag, not a personal name.

• With Third Parties: We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (such as payment processors, authentication providers or hosting services) solely to facilitate the operation of the app. These providers process data on our behalf and are required to comply with GDPR and implement appropriate safeguards. Aggregated and anonymised data may be displayed publicly (for example on social media or YouTube) to promote Europarty, and does not constitute sharing of personal data.

User Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and Correct: You have the right to view and update your data via the app.

  • Certain exceptions apply to personal details such as your name and associated country. Changes to these details are limited to once every 90 days to help prevent abuse and fraud, and to maintain account integrity. If you need to make changes sooner or outside of this period for legitimate reasons, you can request corrections by contacting us via email (see 'Contact Us' section).

• Delete: Request deletion of your account and data via the link on the Profile Settings screen.

• Portability: Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format via email (see 'Contact Us' section).

• Restriction of Processing: If you request restriction of processing, we will explain that this may limit your ability to use the app, as processing is necessary for the provision of services. If restriction of processing is not possible, we will offer the option to delete your data.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Data Security

We implement security measures such as encryption and secure servers to protect your data. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for use by individuals under the legal age of consent as defined by the laws of their country of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the legal age of consent. If we become aware that a child under the legal age of consent has provided personal data, we will take steps to delete such data as soon as possible.

We may update this policy. We will notify you about changes on this page.
